The Human Spine Explained In Super Simple Terms
Ever wanted someone to explain something like you were in second grade? We got you!
Think of your spine like a bendy straw 🧃 that helps you stand up, move, and twist around. It’s made up of a bunch of little bones stacked on top of each other, like building blocks. 🧱 These bones are called vertebrae.
Between each bone, there are soft, squishy pads called discs that work like little pillows. They stop the bones from rubbing against each other and help you bend and jump without hurting yourself. 🕺🏼
Inside the spine, there’s a super important tunnel that protects your spinal cord. The spinal cord is like a highway 🛣️ for messages, sending signals from your brain 🧠 to the rest of your body, telling it to move, feel, and do things. 🤸🏻♀️
So, your spine is like a strong but flexible tower that keeps you standing, moving, and feeling things all over your body. Pretty cool, right? 😊
